I can't say I am very affected by most of politics. I generally ignore political stuff but recently something happened that caused me to ponder things.

On Tuesday, a lady named Elizabeth Edwards passed away from cancer - leaving behind 1 older adult daughter and 2 children and a an ex husband who once had a promising career in politics.  The grace and dignity she showed despite all of the adversity she faced in life really really hit me.

There is this fenced off hilly space across from where I live. On the hill are trees - most of them had all of their leaves still - except for one that stood alone. It wasn't old, just snarled, dark grey, and leaf less, and I called it Spooky Tree.

People actually brought cameras and took pictures of this particular hill with Spooky Tree, so I guess other people appreciated it as well.

On mornings where we get fog, it was actually literally spooky to see that lone tree on the hill with fog all around it!

When I was in high school, I was forced to take 3 years of Spanish for my graduation - it was what my guidance counselor told me to do so I did - and you would think now that I live in Southern California it would come in handy --- problem is I do not remember almost any of it.

I heard that Hockey for the Wii and NHL 2011 for the PS3  are both coming out on September 7 - so I am going to start saving my money !! My boyfriend and his brother are from St. Louis so they are Blues fans.... at least my guy KIND OF cheers for my team, the Ducks! No they  are not owned by Disney any more, thank God... and my favorite player is back for one more year so I am definitely excited about it.
